Florida Georgia Line‘s collaboration with Bebe Rexha, “Meant to Be,” has now been #1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart for 35 weeks — an all-time record: No other song in the chart’s 60-year history has spent more weeks at #1. The previous record-holder was “Body Like a Back Road” by Sam Hunt, which ruled for 34 weeks in 2017. “I’m so honored to be a writer and an artist on this song,” FGL’s Tyler Hubbard told Billboard. “I’m thankful to just be one of the many people who put so much energy and effort into making music history.” “The power of music continues to blow our minds,” his musical partner Brian Kelley adds, “and we are extremely humbled and thankful that ‘Meant’ has spent the better part of a year at the top.” FGL’s lead single from their next album, “Simple,” is currently at #4 on this week’s chart.
