John Prine announced that he will postpone eight summer North Americaan tour dates due to his upcoming heart surgery.
The legendary folk singer-songwriter posted a message to his website, informing fans about his need for surgery and sharing ticket refund information: website message
Prine released his critically acclaimed latest album The Tree of Forgiveness in 2018. He was also inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame by Bonnie Raitt last month in New York City, and will be the subject of a Sony Pictures Classics documentary.
Ticket refunds for all eight affected shows will be available at the original point of purchase, and each concert will be rescheduled. A complete list of Prime’s postponed tour dates can be found at his official tour calendar.
