Blake Shelton has announced a new location for his multi-use venue, Ole Red, in Gatlinburg, Tenn., which is expected to open in 2019. The venue is named for Shelton’s swampy 2002 hit “Ol’ Red” It will include a two-story bar and restaurant, performance area (complete with a dance floor), retail stores and an outdoor terrace. The food is Shelton-approved: hot chicken and waffles, one of Nashville’s most popular current food trends, along with other classic Southern fare like barbecue and burgers, will be on the menu. This will be the third Ole Red location, joining Tishomingo, Okla., which is already open, and Nashville, which has sights set on an opening date of May 2018. Ole Red Gatlinburg will open its doors in spring of 2019.
