A few months back Turnpike Troubadours SOLD OUT the American Airlines Center in Dallas, and if you were at that show you know what I am saying when I say it was magical. Over the past 8 months Turnpike has been hitting the road playing sold out venues left and right.  It has been great to see them playing music.  But what about New music?  Well Evan Felker shared this with Rolling Stone

” Turnpike is releasing its first album in six years on August 25, the 10-song A Cat in the Rain — produced by Shooter Jennings. In the context of the band’s journey (and Felker finding sobriety) since its near-breakup in 2019 and the frenzy surrounding its comeback, A Cat in the Rain stands as one of the most anticipated records the Americana genre has ever known. This week, Turnpike will drop the first single and accompanying video, “Mean Old Sun,” which the band previewed live at Stagecoach Festival last weekend.
